Who runs David Rental Works?

David Rental Works is a local porta potty rental operator that has worked out of 12016 Hadley St, Whittier, CA 90601 since 2010. We own the units, own the trucks and employ our own drivers. The person who answers (562) 603-5505 can see our yard and our routes.

We started in Whittier and still run every job from the same yard. That keeps delivery times short for Whittier ZIPs 90601–90606 and the cities around them.

We are not a broker. A broker takes your order and passes it to whoever is free. When you book with us, our own driver brings our own unit.

How does a David Rental Works job run, from call to pickup?

A David Rental Works rental runs in 5 stages: dispatch, delivery, servicing, extension and pickup. Our dispatcher books the job, our driver places the unit, and the same route team services it every week. Each long-term service visit follows the same 6 cleaning steps.

Dispatch

The dispatcher checks the yard, quotes one itemized price and writes the work order. Gate codes, placement notes and an on-site contact go on that order.

Delivery

The driver calls 30 minutes ahead, places the unit level on firm ground and shows you the latch and sanitizer. We give a morning or afternoon window.

Servicing

  1. Pump the waste tank with our vacuum truck.
  2. Pressure-wash the walls, seat, urinal and floor.
  3. Sanitize the seat, door handle, latch and dispenser.
  4. Add fresh deodorizer and water to the tank.
  5. Restock toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
  6. Check the door, vent and level, and log the visit.

Pickup

Call by 2 p.m. to schedule pickup. Billing stops on the pickup date we confirm. Full details are in our rental terms.

Why does David Rental Works publish its call data?

David Rental Works reviewed 74 recorded customer calls from late August to September 2026 and published what we learned. Callers kept asking the same 5 things: price, availability, same-day delivery, handwashing and whether we are local. Publishing the answers saves the next customer a phone call.

74real calls reviewed
16price objections, mostly hidden fees
18needed a unit same or next day
19confused by Friday–Monday weekend timing

Names, numbers and addresses were removed. The data changed how we quote: one itemized total, no fuel or removal fees. Read the full write-up: what 74 porta potty rental calls taught us.

What does David Rental Works not do?

David Rental Works does 3 things we will tell you up front we do not do: we do not sell porta potties, new or used; we do not service, pump or move other companies' units; and we do not promise exact arrival times. Saying no early saves you time.

  • No unit sales. We only rent.
  • No servicing of other companies' units. That includes ramps or stairs for someone else's trailer.
  • No exact-time promises. We give a morning (7–12) or afternoon (12–5) window, and the driver calls 30 minutes ahead.
  • No Sunday work. We are closed Sunday and return voicemails Monday morning.

We do pump RV black tanks on request and rent 250- and 300-gallon holding tanks. See RV and holding tank rentals.
