What makes a porta potty VIP or luxury?
A VIP porta potty adds 3 things a standard unit lacks: a flush, running water at a sink, and a cleaner, brighter inside. At David Rental Works, VIP means a PolyJohn Fleet (FS3) deluxe flushing unit or a 2- or 3-station luxury restroom trailer, often set apart from the general-guest units.

Luxury is not only the unit. Clean timing, smart placement and a sink close by matter just as much to guests in dress clothes. This page covers how to build that setup without paying for a restroom attendant.
Which VIP porta potty option fits my event and budget?
David Rental Works offers 3 VIP tiers. Tier 1 adds 1 deluxe Fleet FS3 for a VIP area beside standard units, from $265. Tier 2 uses deluxe units for every guest. Tier 3 is a luxury restroom trailer, from $1,195 for a 2-station weekend. None of the 3 tiers needs a paid attendant.
| Tier | What you get | Price from | Best for | Site needs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. VIP corner | 1+ deluxe flushing units for VIPs, standard units for everyone else | $265 per deluxe unit + $175 per standard | Sponsor tents, bridal party, car show judges | Level spot; 47-inch path for deluxe |
| 2. All-deluxe | Deluxe flushing units for every guest | $265 per unit | Backyard weddings, garden parties | No power or water; lawn or patio is fine |
| 3. Restroom trailer | 2- or 3-station trailer with A/C, lighting, vanities | $1,195 / $1,595 weekend | Receptions, galas, milestone birthdays | 20 ft straight access, level ground, outlet within 100 ft |

What upgrades make portable restrooms feel upscale without an attendant?
5 upgrades make portable restrooms feel upscale without an attendant: a mid-event service visit (from $65 per unit), a hand wash station beside the units, deluxe units with sinks and mirror shelves, placement out of the main sight lines, and simple decor you add yourself, like a mat, a plant or a sign.
- Mid-event service. For events over 5 hours or big crowds, we pump, wash and restock halfway through, from $65 per unit.
- Hand washing nearby. A 2-sided hand wash station cuts lines at the deluxe sinks.
- Deluxe units. Flush, sink, soap, towels and a mirror shelf inside each Fleet FS3.
- Placement. Set units 50 feet or more from food and seating, screened by a hedge or tent wall, on a lit path.
- Your own touches. A doormat, a small potted plant, a sign or a basket of extras. Keep vents and doors clear.
Decor tip: No candles or open flames in or near the units. Fire damage is the renter's responsibility under our rental terms. Battery lights are safe.
In summer, Whittier August highs average about 86°F. We add deodorizer for big summer events, and trailers keep their A/C running.
Shade helps any unit stay comfortable. Face doors away from the afternoon sun and away from dining tables. In Santa Ana wind season, mostly October through March, we stake or strap units on request, which matters for tall decor and tent-side placement.
Should VIP guests get their own restrooms?
Separate VIP restrooms make sense when 1 group pays more, dresses up or sits apart, such as a sponsor tent, a bridal party or a head table. Put 1 deluxe unit or a trailer near that area, and keep standard units for general guests. Every cluster still needs at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit.
Count general and VIP areas as separate clusters. Each needs at least 5% wheelchair-accessible units, and never less than 1, under 2010 ADA Standards §213.2 (U.S. Access Board). Our wheelchair-accessible Comfort XL sits fine beside a deluxe unit.
Is a VIP porta potty the same as a restroom trailer?
A VIP porta potty is a single Fleet FS3 deluxe unit: 47 inches wide, no power, no hose, and easy to place on a lawn or patio. A restroom trailer holds 2 or 3 stations with A/C and vanity sinks, but needs level ground, 20 feet of straight access and an outlet within 100 feet.
Choose VIP units when the site is tight or spread out. Choose a trailer when guests will be there for hours after dark. Full site rules are on the restroom trailer rental page, and unit specs on the deluxe flushing porta potty page.

Questions customers ask before booking
Real questions from our customer calls, answered by our dispatch team.
What's the difference between a VIP porta potty and a regular one?
A VIP unit flushes and has a sink with soap, paper towels and a mirror shelf. A regular unit has no flush and only hand sanitizer.
How do I keep VIP restrooms clean during a long event?
Book a mid-event service visit, from $65 per unit, to pump, wash and restock during the event. Typical starting price as of October 2026; your itemized quote is final.
Can I decorate the porta potties?
Yes, with simple touches like a doormat, a plant or a sign. Do not block vents or doors, and never use candles. Battery lights are a safe choice.
Can I rent luxury units just for the head table and wedding party?
Yes. Put 1 or 2 deluxe flushing units near the head table and keep standard units for other guests. Remember at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit per group.
How far from the tables should the luxury restrooms go?
Our advice is 50 feet or more from food and seating, on a level, lit path, and screened from view when you can.
Is a luxury trailer better for an evening event?
Usually yes, when the site fits. Trailers have lighting and A/C. They need level ground, about 20 feet of straight access and an outlet within 100 feet.
