What is a deluxe flushing porta potty?
A deluxe flushing porta potty from David Rental Works is a PolyJohn Fleet (FS3): a 47-inch-wide unit with a fresh-water or recirculating flush, a hand sink with soap and paper towels, and a mirror shelf. Waste goes into a 60-gallon holding tank. No hookups are needed, because the water and waste tanks are onboard.

Is a deluxe porta potty worth it over a standard unit?
A deluxe porta potty is worth the extra $90 over a standard unit ($265 vs $175 typical starting prices) when guests are dressed up, food is served, or older guests and kids will use it. For jobsites, casual backyard parties and short events, a standard PolyJohn PJN3 with sanitizer is usually enough.

The Fleet FS3 needs the same placement as any unit: flat, firm ground within 15 feet of where our truck can park, and a path about 4 feet wide. On soft lawns we lay plywood pads on request. Face the door toward the guest path and away from the dining area.

When should I rent a restroom trailer instead of deluxe units?
A restroom trailer beats deluxe units when you want air conditioning, interior lighting and real vanity sinks, and your site has level ground, about 20 feet of straight access and a 15/20-amp outlet within 100 feet. Deluxe units win on tight sites, sloped lawns, spots without power and budgets under $1,195.
- Choose deluxe units for backyard weddings behind a side gate, garden parties on a lawn, and events where restrooms are spread out.
- Choose a restroom trailer for receptions at a ranch or venue with a driveway, galas, and long evening events where guests want light and A/C.
- Mix them when the trailer covers the main area and 1 deluxe unit sits near the head table or dance floor.

How many deluxe porta potties do I need for a wedding?
A 120-guest, 6-hour wedding with a bar needs 4 restrooms under our planning rule: 120 × 6 ÷ 250 = 2.9, rounded up to 3, plus 1 more because alcohol is served. Many couples make 3 of those deluxe units and 1 a wheelchair-accessible unit. This is our planning rule, not a legal requirement.
| Guests | Hours | Bar? | Restrooms (our planning rule) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 75 | 5 | No | 2 |
| 120 | 6 | Yes | 4 (3 + 1 for alcohol) |
| 200 | 6 | Yes | 7 (5 + 2 for alcohol) |
Include at least 1 wheelchair-accessible porta potty in each group of units. Run your own numbers with the porta potty calculator, or read our wedding restroom planning guide.
How is a deluxe unit serviced during an event?
A deluxe unit arrives pumped, washed, with a full fresh-water tank, soap and paper towels. Weekend events are delivered Friday and picked up Monday at no extra cost. For multi-day events or big crowds, add a mid-event service visit from $65 per unit, where we pump the tank, refill water and restock.
Summer matters here. Whittier August highs average about 86°F, so for big summer events we add deodorizer and suggest an extra visit. Place deluxe units in shade when you can.

Questions customers ask before booking
Real questions from our customer calls, answered by our dispatch team.
Does the flushing porta potty need a water hookup?
No. The Fleet FS3 carries its own fresh-water flush tank and a 60-gallon holding tank. No hose, no power and no sewer connection are needed.
How much is a flushing porta potty with a sink?
A deluxe flushing unit starts at $265 for an event, with delivery, setup and pickup for up to 3 days on site. Typical starting price as of October 2026; your itemized quote is final.
Will it fit through my side gate?
The Fleet FS3 is 47 inches wide. Measure your gate at its narrowest point and leave a few extra inches for the hand truck. Send us a photo if it is close.
Can I get just one deluxe unit for the bridal party and standard ones for everyone else?
Yes. That is a common mix. Put the deluxe unit near the bridal suite or head table, and the standard units where general guests gather.
What happens if the deluxe unit runs out of water during the party?
For long or big events, book a mid-event service visit from $65 per unit. We pump, refill the fresh water and restock soap and towels. Typical starting price as of October 2026; your itemized quote is final.
Is a deluxe unit wheelchair-accessible?
No. The Fleet FS3 has a standard-size floor. Add a PolyJohn Comfort XL wheelchair-accessible unit to each group of restrooms.
